Title:Maximum Readjustment Strokes for Air Brake Actuators

Scope: This SAE Recommended Practice describes the air brake actuator physical characteristics that allow the correct maximum readjustment stroke limit to be determined. It will also define the maximum readjustment limits based on the rated stroke and type (size) of the chamber. Said actuators are used to apply cam and disc-type foundation brakes by slack adjuster means.
