【摘要】:ThispartofISO11990specifiesamethodoftestingthecontinuouswave(cw)resistanceofthecuffregionsoftrachealtubesdesignedtoresistignitionbyalaser.Othercomponentsofthesystem,suchastheinflationsystemandshaft(asdefinedinISO11990-1),areoutsidethescopeofthispartofISO11990.NOTE1ThemethodfortestingthelaserresistanceofthetrachealtubeshaftisinthescopeofISO11990-1.Thespecifiedtestmethodcanbeusedtomeasureanddescribethepropertiesofmaterials,productsorassembliesinresponsetoheatandflameundercontrolledlaboratoryconditions.Itdoesnotdescribeorappraisethefirehazardorfireriskofmaterials,productsorassembliesunderactualclinicaluseconditions.However,theresultsofthistestmethodmaybeusedasanelementofafireriskassessmentwhichtakesintoaccountallofthefactorsthatarepertinenttoanassessmentofthehazardofaparticularenduse.NOTE2Cautionshouldbeobservedininterpretingtheseresults,sincethedirectapplicabilityoftheresultsofthistestmethodtotheclinicalsituationhasnotbeenfullyestablished.NOTE3Thistestmethodmightinvolvehazardousmaterials,operationsandequipment.ThispartofISO11990providesadviceonminimizingsomeoftherisksassociatedwithitsusebutdoesnotpurporttoaddressallsuchrisks.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthistestmethodtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Propertiesdeterminedbythistestmethodareusefulintheevaluationofnewfibersattheresearchanddevelopmentlevels.Fiberswithdiametersupto250x00D7;10-6marecoveredbythistestmethod.Veryshortfibers(includingwhiskers)callforspecializedtesttechniques(1)andarenotcoveredbythistestmethod.Thistestmethodmayalsobeusefulintheinitialscreeningofcandidatefibersforapplicationsinpolymer,metalorceramicmatrixcomposites,andqualitycontrolpurposes.Becauseoftheirnature,ceramicfibersdonothaveauniquestrength,butrather,adistributionofstrengths.Inmostcaseswhenthestrengthofthefibersiscontrolledbyonepopulationofflaws,thedistributionoffiberstrengthscanbedescribedusingatwo-parameterWeibulldistribution,althoughotherdistributionshavealsobeensuggested(2,3).Thistestmethodconstitutesamethodologytoobtainthestrengthofasinglefiber.ForthepurposeofdeterminingtheparametersofthedistributionoffiberstrengthsitisrecommendedtofollowthistestmethodinconjunctionwithPracticeC1239.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthepreparation,mounting,andtestingofsinglefibers(obtainedeitherfromafiberbundleoraspool)forthedeterminationoftensilestrengthandYoung''smodulusatambienttemperature.Advancedceramic,glass,carbonandotherfibersarecoveredbythisteststandard.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
